HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would really normally read through this stuff instead of ask, but im in a jamb here. I have the brinsea octagon 20 eco with automatic turner. First time hatcher here. I ran it for 2 days prior to getting my eggs. it said 99.5. good to go!  It came with a separate temp and humidity gadget to put inside along with the bulb thermometer. Ok! I get my eggs, very important eggs non the less. Get the bator up and running on Friday, it holds the 99.5 mark for 24 hours. I put in the eggs and it plummets to 97. ok, give it awhile to catch back up right? so I did. it went to 98.7 and would not get any higher. I adjusted the temp with the screw and it went up to 100.7. dang it. so I got it to 99.5. cool! then check and it keeps fluctuating. As the thing is turning on the automatic turner the thermometer is changing !!!!!!! what do I do, is this right? HELPPP!!!! I am on day 2. and im crying so hard. I do not want to mess these Sultan eggs up.
How many thermometers are you using? Are they calibrated?

That is normal, for a slight fluctuation. Everytime you open or add it will lower... They have to hear through those eggs. Secondly but most important is that styrafoam, If it is made of that, will be influenced by fluctuating heat of the house... Aka.. Spot you have it.

Don't sweat, your temperatures are not doing damage right yet.

Hang in there and learn.

So I have a question for somebody who knows more than I do. My Reeferbator is under construction. The two fans I bought for it have three wires each, red, black and yellow. My 12V power adapter has two wires. What to do? Next question has to do with air flow. There will be a gap of about 1" in between the fans. I was thinking to add a couple smallish holes to the outside in this space. Do you think that this would provide enough air flow? The fans will probably be sitting about 1.5" off the back of the bator blowing on the heat source. Good idea? Bad idea? Any thoughts on either situation?

Ignore the yellow wire it's a signal wire for the computer just hook up the red and black. The red to positive and black to negative. Before you mount the fans permanently turn it on after its hooked up and check the air flow sometimes 1 inch isn't enough. Run it and feel the airflow aproxamatly where your going to mount it and adjust the distance to your needs or wants!

With the 22s the best are 15/22 they look a little scary at first but is that one of the best guns we own but 10/22 is also a good choice and if your looking for a pistol the sr 22 is really good too. I would not look into 22 as much as other caliber a though because amo is a pain in the butt to find with 22s. :D
