Beats me! Tried looking in the DIY 'bators section for pictures? How do I know if I've got enough ventilation holes in my homemade bator?
If that don't get it, I bet there's a DIY thread somewhere having an answer.

Morning everyone I am sorry I have not been on but to share bad news I just worked 65 hours M-F and am dealing with dying chicks. The death count is up to 15 with another Welsummer pullet looking bad. I have them on Purina medicated starter, I had save a chick in the water and a bit of sugar. Last night I added ACV to the other two things in the water and in the water I made this morning I added corrid. Her is the splayed out chick that looks next. I dipped her beam and she drank. Then I set her down and she drank a bit more before sprawling wings out again under the light. Any suggestions?? Yes I know the food is all over. She is right beside it, and I just cleaned it all up and changed the towels last night before I went to bed messy buggers.

Some good news. Two EE have hatched and we have pips on the Rees ccl eggs. Maybe they will hatch for my birthday and not die like my chickies.
Good morning!
Put it on your head. Can you breathe?
Smart kidDuckling won't let me feed her anymore! Just because I tried to feed her forhead and her ear, she thinks that I don't know how to feed her!

Darned if you ain't having your share of bad luck here lately. Usually, if chickens extend their wings out & hold them, they're trying to cool themselves; I see it all the time in the mid-summer heat, along with an open beak as they breathe through the mouth. Perhaps standing right under the light is making you chick too warm & it doesn't have the strength to move to a cooler area.Morning everyone I am sorry I have not been on but to share bad news I just worked 65 hours M-F and am dealing with dying chicks.
