This is what the setup is currently. Half is boxed in and the other half is framed with wire mesh. The portion that is boxed in has a wire mesh floor and seemed to have decent airflow since I raised it by adding the wheels.

I wouldn't think that airflow would have been a problem. Possibly the fox went walking past them and scared them to death.

I guess that's a possibility. I know he was there the night of the 15th. Didn't check the camera this morning but will when I get home. He has been back every few nights but hasn't gotten anymore since I made the alterations.
