I have no luck with strawberry plants. I won't give up. I just wish I had better luck.

...
They need good drainage but can't dry out. I once had them in raised beds and couldn't keep enough moisture on them in mid summer. I also had trouble keeping the weeds out of them when I moved them to a surface level bed.
Drip irrigation is the way to go.
This time I'm going with raised berms covered in plastic and plant through the plastic.

Hope your day is starting out well!
The above is me getting a kiss from you.

That's why the emojis. I stole a kiss!
It was better in my head. I should turn back on the "quote all" thing so that the above picture would have been quoted with our morning greetings.

I never had good results with strawberry plants, because the bears & birds eat all the berries!

You said "I do not like that MCC"

Or at least undressing them
That is your department

The drying out happened last year. The plant I bought this year seemed weak to begin with.

So something weird I have noticed. We have a Tractor Supply and a Rural King within 1/2 mile of each other. At Tractor Supply, they keep the chicks behind a tall fence and only associates are allowed in that area. At Rural King, even though there is a sign that says not to handle the poultry, the guy just lets everyone handle them, regardless of whether or not they want to buy them. The last 3 times I've been in there, it's like a petting zoo. Seems like quite the bio-security nightmare if you ask me. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Probably not because they are messier than ducks and ya can't keep them outside

Only when they remove their dirty diaper and smear it. Even then, it is no different than a duckling. My Duckling helps clean up the mess.

I just got a RK in the same plaza as the TSC. I haven't been there yet. It does sound like an issue though.
