The power is good.
HD stands for "hundred dollar". They used to mark their territory, and be a great ... shaking machine. Now they just cost too much to keep running, and they don't shake like they used to. Such a shame.

I can't let mine out much in growing season; not w/o babysitting them. They get into Mama's flowers; Mama takes a dim view of that. Besides, last time they wound up almost out to the road; 1st time they've ever wandered that far..

I couldn't find the dog, so I had to go back out to see if he was still out there. 20 or so little, and 8 big birdies told me that I needed to get into the coop. They were out of feed. I never collected eggs yesterday.
No food + lots of eggs = I don't have many eggs to collect this morning. I picked up the two duck eggs from the ground nest, and I thought I put my hand in a very wet pile of poo. When I got into the sun, I saw it was yolk. Oh well. I can hope it was just one. I will have a better ides this afternoon when I see how many eggs I collect.
I need to upload a video I just took for Banti. BRB!

Good Morning every one. Happy Mothers day. Hoping you all have a Sunny Sunday it is supposed to rain hard here canceling out our plans to do yard work.

Here is my hatching update for this week
This coming week I lock down my runner duck and royal palm turkey eggs I got from the crazy 24 hour auction thread. Hoping for better success with these turkey eggs than the 5 I got from a friend. I know at least 3 or 4 runner ducks were alive and active when I candled around day 14..

. I am hoping I can use some of my graduation gift money to buy me a better candler (one of those ovascope high intensity ones)... I just am having such a hard time with a flashlight to be sure of what looks right.

I am wanting to also get some more turkey eggs to hatch in the near future...


Meanwhile I wait and hope until it is time to candle and lockdown to see how things are going... am due to candle the chicken eggs that are incubating too so hoping for a lot of signs of life later this week and lots of hatching next Sat while I am away at graduation.
