 , I think I forgot to say, but I was impressed with the use of repurposed materials in your coop. Did you ever get an answer to your question about the door? I couldn't quite figure out what I was looking at. It looks like it is only propped shut by a 2x4 - in which case, no, I wouldn't think that's secure enough. (Am I not seeing the closing mechanism?)

I have the hinges on the bottom, and a hook at the top, but I am going to put one of those sliding bolt things(name?) On each upper corner. I am just not sure if the plywood needs to be a thicker piece or something else to keep critters out and prevent access without warping so I have not put them on while I think.
