Hatching Update=Woke up to the first one out.
1 Cochin hatched, 5 external pips.
2 EE's external pips.
Hatch has begun and only 35 eggs left to make it out.
Baby update. Had an ultrasound this morning and found out end of October we will be welcoming identical twin boys to the house. Wife seems to have calmed down at least for the moment since everything at the appointment seemed good.
Have a local flock swap tomorrow and hope to move some birds. Running out of room.

It's not just Silkies... I hatched 2 out of 30 shipped RIR eggs. I suppose it depends on what kind of mood the USPS workers are in as to how your eggs will arrive. I think my eggs went through a couple of soccer matches before they arrived...
I am so sorry about the RIRs. I know that you had been trying to rebuild your breeding stock! That was 2 different sets right? Were they all from the same area? Are you going to try again?
I'm finding that certain post office hubs are worse than others.
