My broody sucked, she killed all the brahma eggs I gave her a week before hatching, so I gave her chicks, 7 pullet chicks, so far she is a good momma at least, this pic was when I pushed her back off to grab the eggs out and give her the babies. She had one job = sitting there and letting 8 chicks hatch out of their shells!!!! ughhhh

This is the hen that's back inside the crack of the granite rock. For the past couple days she would not move even with a shovel coming at her to remove eggs as I couldn't reach them otherwise. She's actually farther forward in rock for this batch so I made a make shift roof for shade. Last I saw she had all but one of the 12 eggs under her.

When you candle with a flashlight.I do not know how long to wait before giving up. Found some eggs out of the best box. Cannot tell if there is movement. There is just a small air pocket. Been in incubator for 2 weeks.
