the rod is 6 inches deep
you need more ground rods

that how low it will go
needs to be deeper try somewhere else

I have 3 ground rods, my fence did not work until i installed the 3rd, they are 2-3 feet deep

the wooden post is to hold that handle on i am using the yellow insulators
there are no insulators on that wood, it will kill all of the power to the fence

yes until it got lost
find it

yall the fence worked fine the ground rod the box and everything else worked fine until the new wire got put in and new wire is steel wire 17 gauge but it is fecnse wire

I know gambling is illegal, but if it weren't I would bet you a million dollars the instructions didn't say to use any rusty piece of metal for a ground, don't use an approved clamp and drive it in 6", wrap the hot wire around wooden stakes, let the two wires touch each other and vegetation.
If you don't want to ruin your unit, unplug it.
Furthermore, an extension cord isn't approved for the job either. A real electrical installation is recommended.
