Did you get it figured out?

Alright! So I'm at 3 Araucana right now, 1 Wyandotte I'm not sure is gonna make it (lookin like wry neck straight out of egg, I'll let the breeder know), and 1 Whiting True Blue(still in incubator). 1 Wyandotte passed after pip'ing :(
First two out and dry. The black one I posted earlier about demanding out. The white was no different...

Chick pile of cuteness!

They were trying to eat shavings. I put the bowl in and showed the black one, it was eating mouthfuls, then the two white came over...one proceeded to get in eat n sleep lol

You might put them on paper towels or doggy pads for the first week while they learn what food is, and to protect their legs. Congratulations!

Sounds like fun. Could make a 5 gallon bucket trap for the mice to go swimming in. I keep on up in my barn. Works pretty good too. If you catch them shortly after they die the chickens will eat them.
Or dump a bucket they have climbed into on their own in front of free ranging chickens and watch the results :D

Morning all-started to get caught up on the reading and then my ADD kicked in. Can't stand the coop anymore. Chickens are nasty and I dont want them to get sick. My run is approximately 24x12' long. I was thinking to lay the weed barrier down and then get 2 yards of pea gravel and 2 yards of fill sand delivered. Does this sound like it would work??? any better ideas?? Not enogh leaves yet...
