If you will add sone good bones with marrow you will upgrade your stew!

Grew up earring boiled marrow bones! Back then they tried to charge us sales tax saying it was dog food! Silly people.

Dog food? This one of the most reach taste ingredient ever!
I understood that you don't eat the internal organs of the cattle, am I right?

Good morning Sally! :hugs
As well as everyone noted in Sally's post above.
Just dropped in to catch up, then gotta cook omelettes for the three GD that decided they needed some time with their Papa this weekend.
Two whole days of spooling them rotten, then I get to send them home! Bwahaahaaahaa!
Have a great day everyone, I will drop in when the young uns are done breakfast. :frow

Actually, my father and grandfather were tenant farmers in the early 1900's. Rather poor, financially. They butchered during the winter months to make ends meet. For did, they would take the parts that were less desired. I they lived eating organ meats and such. They were their comfort foods, so later in life would buy them for pennies from the butcher, they were considered waste by many. They then became my comfort foods, we weren't wealthy.

I eat tongue, heart, pig pancreas (sweet breads), oxtail soup, marrow bones, etc. I never developed a taste for liver, though. I've also had pig brain, ears, almost any part that can be made palatable. Used to fight over the trail at pig roasts (as it turned on the spot we'd pull it off when it was done).

Just a stupid country hick, I guess. I wouldn't have it any other way.
