Oh so bad freaking news.....I went to candle last night and well the J Cuba to was off and the eggs were cold. There were only 3 growing but they died because of a stupid Christmas snowman my daughter had balanced on the self fell and broke the fan and 2 of the heating elements on my kit. I am pi**ed. I don't have another 50 bucks to order a new kit so we are going to try and fix it. Thank goodness, the eggs weren't my batch of AC eggs or I would have flipped out.

So I came across this thing yesterday. The one I had intended to use was about half this ones size. So Baby Blue it is. Waiting on my thermostat and fans before I start cutting it up though. From what I calculated, this one is 60 quarts.

YAY and booooo on the no movement. yes make a bator! I am making two more coolerbators, one for my friend sarah cause she needs one and is fairly local and she is awesome lolSally all 9 of my honas looked good. We couldn't detect movement in two of them, might wind up being early quitters. Their veins looked a bit faded. I forgot to mark them.
I have six more eggs and if I don't sell them in three days I'm going to set them too. Then I'll have to make a bator to either incubate or hatch. Or both.
I have no clue what is going on! if I have a bunch in mine that I just lockeddown we have something going on outthere!!I have 2 more pips ( right air cell side) and unfortunately another one on the wrong side. I must have been hand turning them wrong?? I didn't candle on days 11-14 either.

My guess is she had to roll over & suck the channels dry b4 her feet ever hit the floor.
LOL! I didn't see his post. I am sitting in the living room, without the monitor. I'm staying away for a while. I'm too stressed this morning, and watching the incubator isn't helping.

I will take blaring music in house or suv any day of the week !!they sounded awesome but I just couldnt stand the closeness of others or ummm some of the crap I saw!
why dont you make a coolerbator ross, hubs and help, like I just typed to campin I am making two this weekend or next week, as soon as the parts are here!! they are so easy!! and cheap!!!

Hey guys! I have been using your thread as a valuable tool as this is my first year incubating. I have two young children and they do so enjoy it as well. I have a few pure bred English Lavender Orpington eggs in the incubator right now, and I must say, I'm getting a little worried, we are on day 23 and still no results, not even the distant view of any piping. I hate to open the incubator to candle them, however when I checked them on Day 18, they all seemed very active. Any thoughts? I know that my egg shells tend to be pretty "hard", my ladies are very good layers and get plenty of protein, and I'm wondering if that is impeding the hatch?
In addition, I have been attempting to "perfect" my incubation chart, I like to keep a tally of each egg, the daily temperature and humidity, etc, but I have yet to get it quite where I need it. Anyone have any good resources for me?
