can you test it now? shamwows are awesome too, sorta can cut them like wicks and have the end in a dish and then only bring out the amount of surface area needed to reach humidity levels.
Should I test it with the non viable eggs in there? Or just run it empty? I used paper towels draped across and into the wells to make the entire bottom of the incubator a giant wick.

It comes with a sensor on a long cord. That cord also gets wired into the back and you put it inside the incubator. The heating element is also inside with it's power cord going out to the STC-1000. The 2 leads from the element go:
1) into one of the switch terminals
2) attached directly to the neutral (common, white wire) from the mains
The STC gets constant readings from the sensor and switches the power on when it goes a little below the set value and off when it goes a little above it.
