so am I, lots of my builds are gonna be can I do this and make it or get it to work, I try to use what I have on hand, little bought
I'm doing the same thing with the coop I'm building. I'm duplicating a pre-fab that I bought & beefed up; cost me over $300. So far, I have <$90 in it, but I shouldn't need any more materials. I ripped 2x4's that I had to make 2x2's to screw the plywood siding to, I already had a supply of welded wire & hardware cloth, left over from when I built the run for the first coop. Actually, this is the 2nd coop I've built myself. Built the last one from free pallets, but wasn't happy with it, so I decided to copy the one I've had all along, with a couple of modifications. The guys who built the pre-fab job just build 'em to export, they've obviously never tried to work out of one

I'd be working on the new one now if it wasn't raining; DW take a dim view of sawdust in her house.

Well,I lockdown my goose egg yesterday.and put the big dip in air cell facing up.ands the eggs it turned and dip not facing up.What Do I do.I have not opened it.
I would do nothing. May be find something to do for the next 3 days away from the bator.

My folks let us spend the summers in the garden and digging 5 foot deep holes to make out own personal "dens" (but I think that was to make sure we exhausted ourselves and kept out of trouble...

Oh my gosh we used to do the same thing that and cardboard box houses. Don't dare go in the house though mom would find us something to do.

You didn't miss it, COChix - I forgot to answer you! I have 9 Carolina Blue Sex Link Easter Eggers coming (have I ever mentioned how much I love Easter Eggers??) and then a dozen Ultra Rare Assortment, my gift from @LocalYokel Being shipped tomorrow and I'm getting nervously excited. Ken is outside right now cutting the portal doors in the brooder pen. This is really happening!!!

Off topic but important...

To all you ladies out there - PLEASE GO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS DONE NOW

My MIL will probably pass away today from breast cancer, and my sister in law (unrelated) who has 2 small children was diagnosed a week ago, and it has already spread.

One in 8 women will get this!!!

That means us.

It is too easy to find excuses not to go, but it is usually curable if found early.

If nothing else please go for your family.

Not keeping up with you guys very well. When I click on this subscription, the first page of the thread comes up instead of the last page that I read....Driving me crazy...I get so lost. It recently changed all by itself to do that! Maybe someone can tell me how to change it back?

Here's my hatching/incubating news! @Sally Sunshine

The one purple Guinea egg that was in the mind reader bator hatched! (what am I supposed to do with one Guinea keet?!) He is in with the Serama chicks and Tobin's one porcelain d'Uccle chick.
That's 100% hatch rate for that incubator! Pretty good, especially since it's mostly been Seramas.

Out of the 16 shipped d'Uccle eggs with really bad air cells, 9 are developing, but a few are about to quit. They are all still so sloshy! I can only tip them ever so slightly in way of "turning" them....

Tomorrow I will be getting 18 more shipped porcelain d'Uccle eggs from a different person.
I will also be setting some Silver pheasant eggs and barbary chukar eggs. (Fertility checks
