So how many eggs did you set, what kind(s), and how many have hatched so far? Pictures are pretty much required here, you know...

I have found that sharing the run with the chickens really doesn't work out so well. I love my cute, fuzzy ducklings but they are such messy little fluffs. I now keep them in a seperate run. Unfortunately I didn't keep the chickens out of the duck run and now have a hen sitting on 4 Pekin eggs which should hatch in about another week!

It used to be a sharpener of sorts... it was a homemade bench grinder. I took one of the grinding disks off and replaced it with the PVC cap with bungee cord "fingers" sticking out of it. Rubber bungee cords aren't going to sharpen anything. Try again... Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard, or even plain old Skin So Soft. Rub it on their heads and wattles, but don't get it in their eyes, nostrils, or mouth.
