LOL I have to admire mine from afar, like I said before I can pick up and cuddle one that being Opie but the rest run for their lives if I act like I want to pick them up. I guess after 11 yrs of this I have grown numb.

11 yrs?? O WOW... I really need counseling now.... there's just no hope at all

Did I read once that you start yours in the bathroom?? I need one of those human incubators where you put your hands in gloves to handle the contents. Then maybe if I let one hatch in my hand with my face pressed against the glass window so it can't see anything but me, just maybe then.... it will love me

Well...some of mine are huggable. Many of mine are like Miss Lydia's. “Brat” gets the award for most-huggable duck in my flock. And he is just that – a spoiled brat. Yesterday I walked through an area that is off-limits for the ducks. Brat swaggers up to me, stands between my legs, and looks up with his most charming expression, begging for snacks. I had none, and I tried to get him out of that area. I could have kicked him and he wouldn't have budged. So, I picked him up and carried him out.
He demands to have his favorite food at feeding time and won't touch the normal food, either, unless he's really hungry.

Mine are hit or miss. Wobbles used to be a little snuggle bug, but now that he's older he's a big macho drake that hates getting mama's kisses, LOL! Bean can be a sweetheart still, she likes to hop up onto wherever I'm at, whether it be on the sofa, bed or curled up in the lovesac watching movies. And I can still cuddle her close to my chest and she won't protest - most of the time, anyway. :p

Nope I don't start mine in the bath room although getting them to use the bathroom in the bath room would be nice,

Listen if you had your face pressed against the glass, You'd probably be the first person to hear a duck actually scream.
