I have 2 bantam hens both layed eggs all summer they started laying this year in springtime havnt been able to have babies cause of snakes but i fixed that problem & now 1 lays 4 eggs and break them & 1 breaks them as she lays them outside the box, why are they doing this? I thought maybe it was the bedding so i put hay in their and they still do it, is their something i can do to keep from this happening? Any info be great thanks

Are they eating them? Egg eating is a sign of not enough protein in their diets.
