x 3 any time you get young chicks it seems like the odds always go for cockerels. To be certain of not getting one, you need to buy older laying hens, or point of lay pullets, cost more but, then you know exactly what sex you have - less heartbreak.
..or purchase sex links or breeds that auto sex like Rhodebars. Cream Legbars or good lines of Welsummer...you can have the fun chick stage but know you have a hen too.
