Been using just a regular plastic waterer that I have to refill periodically. Don't really want to deal with the water freezing and refills all winter though. I am thinking about bringing a buried pipe and electricity over to the coop area and just running the pipe in the coop with nipples off it. In order to keep it from freezing I was thinking about putting heat tracing on the pipe. Anyone ever done this? Just wondering if there may be some problems I am not thinking of with doing this.
