Put up a little sign, electric fence, no trespassing. Your property, so their opinion is not really relevant. But really if you have coyotes, feral cats, and other preditors around your property, an electric fence might be a good idea. This cat is just the first to attack your flock, it is only a matter of time before something more deadly tries.
 
Could you set up a sprinkler with a motion detector to deter the cat? A bit of temporary fencing to keep your hens a little bit back from the perimeter of the yard would keep them from setting it off and the whole thing would probably be inexpensive and easy to set up. I'm betting one or two good blasts from the sprinkler would take care of the problem without hurting the cat or the chickens.
