The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I am very behind. All these animals are keeping me busy!

Our second ewe finally gave birth today. And it was twins - a boy and a girl. The kids have named them Loki and Lola. Lola is adorable and tiny, and when she first popped out she looked pink (and yellow seeing as she was covered in goo). So far their mother is doing extremely well despite being a first time mother. I was worried she might reject one but she is doing an awesome job despite the weather. It was nice and sunny this morning (after we got a dumping of almost 2 inches overnight which we really didn't need) but the afternoon turned into constant light showers flying in on a cold SW wind. So the beautiful Lola is now a rather muddy baby. Hopefully her mother will clean her up overnight now that the wind and rain have stopped.

I think Carmen's mother will be happy she now has friends to play with. Carmen has worn the wool off her (well, helped it to shed faster) by jumping on her repeatedly.

She's hilarious when she goes bouncing about.

Anyway, I'd better go and sort the load of laundry that's just finished washing. I think everything I owned was wet and muddy. We are once again a swamp.

Congratulations on the twins Jae! Love seeing their pictures 💗

Morning DMC, hope you have a great day! Did you get your garden squash taken care of?
You as well!

It’s not ripe yet. The temps are supposed to be decent the next 10 days so I hope it pushes it along. There are so many nice squash out there. I’m chomping at the bit to try one

I have to take my sister to physical therapy today. She canceled it the other day. She has some major health issues right now and was just to pooped to go.

I have a new washer coming today. My last one lasted 2.5 years. The transmission went out. I had to make a quick run yesterday to pick one out. I was lucky he had deliveries in my area today. I have clothes hanging over my deck railing to drip dry and then they need to be rewashed.

That doesn't seem very long for a washing machine but maybe that's normal any more. Glad you can get a new one to your house so quickly!

Sorry your sister is having trouble, it's nice you're close enough to help her out.

I could have gotten this same machine at Menards for $200 less but we’d have to pick it up. With this business it’s free delivery and setup and they take the old machine away. He also gives you an extra year warranty and they repair if need be also. You don’t have to wait a month for them to fix a problem. You pay more but the service is excellent.

Thanks Debby! My sister’s health problems started in November of 2019. She went thru he!! to find out what was wrong with her. She’s 51 and in a wheelchair due to neuropathy. We’re hoping it will get better but she has a long road ahead of her.

It sounds like the extra warranty and service are worth an extra $200.

Best wishes to your sister :hugs
