Lol. Same thing here, that's why my rooster is Doris.Don't ask me I get everything wrong
Good morning, Marie. Now that's really cruel, my dog's farts would be even worse. Phew he dropped a smelly one today the cat couldn't get out quick enough good morning, Mark.
Thank you. I'm hoping they will be rehomed together. It is less traumatic with a buddy.I'm going to guess it's a pullet Janie. But I'm in no way an expert so let's see what others think. Both are pretty birds!
Good morning, Mad. I usually guess the opposite way...so many crowing "pullets" around here!I am going to guess, pullet. I am not an expert but I had a hen that I thought was a cockerel until she was 20 weeks old. So, that's my guess.
Thanks, Sour. I would have sworn that I saw red on her wing, but no sign of it now. I looked back through photos and found this one.@janiedoe - pretty pullet.
Good morning Sue!Good morning everyone
Good morning DMC
Good morning Debby
Good morning Janie
Good morning Mark
Good morning Sour
I would guess pullet, beautiful bird! What do you all think of this cockrel/pullet? I haven't posted it on breed/gender forum.
I was sure it was a cockrel. It is 14 to 15 weeks old now. I thought I saw red on a wing, a few weeks ago, but can't find it now. The comb is pink and has been for a couple of weeks, it hasn't developed any further. The cockrel beside it is the same age. (Same father, mothers are a large olive egger and a brahma) Any guesses?
Either way it has a home, I just don't know whether to rehome it with a few hens or with a brother. The couple who requested it does want a cockrel, but may not have room for two males.

Thanks Sue!Good morning Sue!

I haven't so far. I'd trust the opinion on this thread just as much. It is so hard to judge by a picture or two, unless it is just obvious.Have a nice Sunday

Pullets can get weird feathers that they then molt out. It looks like a pretty pullet to me too. Thanks Sue!

I wouldn't question this one at all, if not for seeing red a few weeks ago. No saddle feathers, no male posturing, no crowing, just a tiny red marking that I can't see now, and a little pink comb. That, and I always have a problem with sexing easter eggers.
The other 3 were pretty obviously 2 males and a female.
I have three 4 week olds that seem obvious too. Two males, one female, or so I believe.

The one that I thought was a male, was a really big hen from the start, and she had a perky stance. But nope, I posted pictures and everyone guessed pullet. Thanks Sue!

That's funny! I have read stories on here of hens crowing. I have one that mounts the other ladies but she lays eggs and doesnt crow.Pullets can get weird feathers that they then molt out. It looks like a pretty pullet to me too.
One of our Orpingtons, as a pullet, would crow every morning. She stopped once she started to lay eggs. So I don't rely on crowing unless there's other evidence it's a boy.
