sunflour thank you and yep, staying hydrated .. I drank 5 litres of water yesterday and took 4 cold showers .... well, warmish, no such thing as cold water at the moment

Thank You Mother Nature! Today we have a break from the heat before it climbs back into the mid 90’s during next week.

Currently at 7AM it is 76F with a relative humidity of 87% BUT the predicted maximum is only 84F with a 95% chance of rain, up to 2.5 inches [60mm] and the chance of thunderstorms.

AND, white stuff is falling from the sky!! OK, so it is not snow and actually just flowers from the Lilly Pilly Tree, but I can dream [not of Jeanie

Housework and grocery shopping today and maybe a couple of laps around the back garden in the rain [fully clothed!

I waited,I really did. I told the bartender that I was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive and I'd have a margarita while I waited....but a little while later I was still waiting and so.......well, I got tired of waiting. Okay, passed out...I passed out - are you happy? It's all your faults!





Actually I should clarify that before people get the wrong idea....the empty margarita glass belonged to the lady who took the photo for me. I had my one margarita and was perfectly content with that. I didn't really pass out.....but I did sleep pretty doggone good on my Holiday Inn Soft Pillow!! By the way, they let me buy one...taking it home with me tomorrow!

I got the queen sized for $20.00. They checked with Housekeeping to see if there were any extras back there and I lucked out. But the hotel manager told me that if they hadn't had any, they'd have been happy to order one for me. She said they have become so popular that they had to "create a protocol" to allow guests to get them for home.

I feel for you in that heat with no air...I would not fair well either. It was actually kind of nice out today. I made 4 trips to the chicken coop. It was tolerable!

Okay Blooie, would you please tell me what is so good about the Holiday Inn pillows? Are they only sold to Holiday Inn guests? My search for a good pillow has taken me down many disappointing roads. I've had down, synthetic down, fiber fill (I think what they stuff toys with), etc.
 
I dunno, Diva, but the absolute only time I wake up without a headache is when I stay at the Holiday Inn and use their "Soft" pillow. And it doesn't seem to matter which Holiday Inn we stay at here in Wyoming.....Sheridan, Cheyenne, RIverton, Lander...makes no difference. I also have a stack of pillows - everything from memory foam and contoured memory foam to down, down alternative, fiberfill, even buckwheat and those stupid little ones filled with that bead stuff. Bought a new pillow for me last week, a My Pillow, and a different one for Ken. Getting used to the sound and the lumps in the My Pillow has been hard, but now I have my HI soft pillow and I'll figure out something that works..... They must be extremely popular if the Holiday Inn has a way to order them!
