The Bourkes aren't a very cuddly bird but they love being with you and make a very sweet pet. Anyone who has a hand reared one just adores them (or so I've read on the net). The finches will stay very tame too, unlike the older babies who now have 4 adults telling them to get away from the big, scary human.

It really has rained here and it's suppose to continue all today. We were about to order some water, our tanks were getting so low. I'm glad we waited.

Nice you're getting the much-needed rain and won't have to order it.

Laundry is finally caught up. I have an appointment for a re-check tomorrow before doctor will clear me to fly on Saturday but should sail through that fine....just a little congestion left and will have to pack the nebulizer but I'm okay with that. Shoot, gonna need a separate bag for medical supplies - 5 days worth of catheters, heart meds, nebulizer, and OTC meds. Then i found out this morning that I'll need 2 formals instead of just one, in addition to a "dressy pant suit or dress" and 2 "business casual " outfits. Um, do they know my business is selling eggs? Wonder if I have any Ma Kettle duds in my closet.

Hope everyone is hanging in there - I'm just popping in from time to time to make sure you are all behaving yourselves!

Where you flying off to Blooie? It sounds like another Ken-thing with all the dress requirements. Sheesh, I'd have to buy a new wardrobe just for that one trip, lol.

Yep, another Ken trip. I'll be so glad to see the end of 2019 when he's done with Grand Lodge!! We're heading for the Grand Master's Conference in Omaha. The year after that it's in Indianapolis, then the third (AND FINAL) year we are required to go it will be in Rapid City. I can handle that one - a 6 hour drive if the roads are good. But they always hold these things in February. <Sigh>

I'll bet you always look nice, Debby! Me, I get gussied up and feel like a mule in a buggy harness!

Where did everyone go? lol

Is the weather improving? Everyone outside doing stuff while they can? No more cabin fever?

Talking weather, predicted max today of 93F. The plan is to get the chores out of the way early and then spend some time in the garden with the girls and camera, something I have not done for a while and up-to-date photos are definitely overdue. You have been warned .. lol

Hi Teila! It's a beautiful sunny 56* day here. I just came in from reading a book on the deck. I brought both of the cats out on the deck which absolutely terrified them...one at a time so they didn't take off. One of the chickens was doing her egg song so Opie's head was darn near spinning to figure out the noise. Can't wait to see your photos!

It has been quiet here, hasn't it? All clear from dr man and we're up here in Billings. Flight leaves so early and it's almost a 2 hour drive so we decided to spend the night here. Beats dodging deer at 3:30 am!
