The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

YAY for you for sure! Hopefully they will all be hard workers, just like your long distance supervisor.

Here's my supervisor for today. Our deaf cat, Mistletoe. Technically she stole their hot water bottle I'd put under the sheet I was going to feed them on.

And my three little scraps. I had to wait for the other two to be hungry before the littlest one would eat - their yelling stimulated it to start begging too. And, yes, they often end up with formula in their eye, or under their chin, on top of their head etc. I'm sure we'll all get better at it.

Mistletoe is a cutie, but make sure he/she is never alone with those babies, they look like cat snacks

@N F C glad you got the crew on board. When does the course open? June?

The maintenance crew will start around the 27th of this month. Me, the bartender and the new gal we hired today will start April 3rd...there's a lot of clean up, stored merchandise and stuff to order to get ready for the opening. My girl from last year has to finish high school and will join us the first of June.

Weather permitting, we hope the open the course April 15th.

Don't worry - I keep a very close eye on any cats near the birds. It's not their fault if their instincts kick in - it's mine for putting them in that situation. Mistletoe only noticed them because they were waving their heads about - it's quite good that she's deaf and half blind so she usually is oblivious to their existence. And she's forgetful. I don't think she really knew what to make of them!

It's not something I had ever thought about - a golf course having to close because it's winter. Like I said I have zero experience with snow and it's funny the things that never cross your mind. I do have a funny image in my head of people hunting for their golf balls in the snow though!

There is a public course near us - they seem to be open any day there isn't snow on the ground. This year we haven't had the usual amount all though we are supposed to get some over the next couple of days. Today we had about 3.5 inches.

The country club course doesn't usually open till May.

I didn't realize y'all would thaw by April

. But at least things should be easier this year to get things ready for the opening, I remember the hard work and long hours you put in last year.

Good morning! Got a busy one planned for today.....it's warm enough to clean the coop and work on the yard around the coop/run. Or I could just eat potato chips, drink pop, and read my book.......so much to decide.
