The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Happy belated birthday Sour - that would be a huge disappointment. A good icecream is seriously something to look forward to! Hope the rest of your trip was fun though.

Debby, do you get a lot of snakes where you are? That would be a bit scary having them fall out of trees right next to you!

My babies are doing very well. They are nearly 4 days old now so I can start thickening up their food. I left them from 10pm-5.30am last night and I'm only feeding them every hour and a half during the day because they aren't hungry after just one hour (which is the recommended length of time between feedings for hatchlings). One has really been squeaking at me today at meal times. They both seem strong so fingers crossed they'll make it like the others did. They have size on their side. Poor ugly bugs:

Good morning!

Sour, sorry about your ice cream biz closing. How were the wild ponies?

J, how tiny the babies are! Yep, ugly bugs for sure but they do turn into pretty birds. Nice you can get more sleep at night. You asked about snakes...they're around but don't usually have them falling out of trees. Here's a picture of the butte right behind the golf course, it's called Rattlesnake Butte for a reason (the white building to the right is for maintenance equipment)...

:woot
Only 6pm and I'm home for the evening! We finally had enough coverage to handle dinner so I took the evening off work. Tomorrow will be another story, but I'm relishing every moment tonight :celebrate
Too bad you didn't move to Wisconsin instead. I might have taken a part time job just to hang out at your place of business. You deserve a good long break. Do you close up for the winter?

We can only be open 6 months (mid-April to mid-Oct) due to water supply issues so YES, we do close for winter. Our last day to be open this season is October 15th.

Come on winter!!!

P.S. You and Blooie would be fun co-workers, wish you both were here

Yes, hurry up winter, I am too hot, and I can't handle seeing anymore snakes. It doesn't matter that they are just garter snakes either, yuk. Me and Blooie together might make trouble, I'm a known disturber of the peace. :p
