Woke up to a light covering of what feels like sleet, it's white but doesn't feel like snow and very slippery. We're at our high for today right now at 24*.

After a big day in the garden, cherry pie and margaritas would be most welcome now.
After getting the last overgrown corner under control, I am now officially in maintain and beautify mode for the garden. No more hard slogs! Just keep the weeds under control nurture the lawns and plants etc. Gotta finish the fish ponds but they are so close and what is left to do is not hard work.
After mowing, edging and doing that corner, I started on the beautify. I have to say, I am so very pleased and love how it looks! Needs a few more potted plants but will do that with some bargains from the markets ……

It does make sense.We actually had a good day today!
FIL and I had a laugh together today over something and we also made a connection kind of. The blue dolphin he purchased many years ago for his now deceased wife [10 years] during her chemotherapy. It was under the house, collecting dust. So, with his permission, after purchasing the blue bird bath, I bought the dolphin out from under the house, cleaned it off and positioned it. I think he liked the gesture and for the first time, seemed interested in something I had done in the garden.
I also find myself much more relaxed today, probably because I was in the garden, which I love. I am starting to think that it is partly due to work. It is a stressful job and during the week, my stress levels would be higher but on the weekend, I am able to cope more with those things that would normally annoy me during the week; if that makes sense.
Get out the cleats! We are -11 below right now and will get a high of 2.Morning all

Awesome! Not much, thought about going shopping but to cold. One of the ladies I clean for moved into the Nursing home so I inherited her bedroom set...no one in the family wanted it and so they offered it to me. My son needed a new dresser so he took that now I need to figure out where to put the rest. I still have an armoire and an end table coming but hopefully that is years away as she’s still using them.Yes, I'm off today and tomorrow
