She also loves to ACTUALLY sit (well, lay) in my lap but lately she's been doing this, at least in this chair. She also does the opposite where she lays with just her front paws/head on my legs and/or kneads me like crazy lol

Advertisers track you by what you click on when browsing and using social media. They know who you are quite quickly and can follow you from device to device...Do not need cookies or anything!

For knowing where you are, the phone pings cell towers and that gives a general position. GPS is more precise and is what google uses along with cell data to give you driving directions.

I thought cookies were necessary? Help load sites faster? Ans i have location off unless I need it.

My Oldest DD had a cat like that! He was a great cat. He went with a spouse after a breakup.

Still raining and now windy too. Still only under minor flood watch but multiple road closures due to flash flooding, water on the roads. We are again cut off from major cities to the north and south.

This rain is apparently due to the convergence of XTC’s Nora and Iris. Varying predictions on what XTC Iris is doing; some say she is gone and no longer a threat but others saying she is going to build back up and return .. One site is predicting this for Monday but who knows; Monday is a while off yet and cyclones are unpredictable

You can usually turn cookies off and be ok.

The advertisers use analytics and social media to target ads to you. They are very good at it.

We are now under a Severe Weather Warning with wind gusts in the 90KM [55mile]/hour area.

A trough connecting ex-tropical cyclone Nora to the southern North Tropical Coast is causing heavy rainfall over the warning area.

One coastal town recorded 63mm [2.5 inches] of rain in an hour.

Our minor flood warning has been upgraded to moderate.

That makes sense. I usually turn off the show ads based on websites visited thing and clear my history, cache, and even My Google Activity, a lot so they can't usually do that

Google Activity is deeper than just history, it's everything you've done. They only made it public maybe a couple years ago? Or even last year. Idk. But as soon as they did, I started using it. I mean, I don't have anything to hide but I don't like them tracking me!

Although I hadn't cleared my history or cache in a long time until this weekend so there was a lot of data there haha

And they've been expanding the round south of Boston (route 3 on the south shore), making it 3 lanes, MUCH needed.

I haven't been down that way for a few years, but yeah Rt 3 was not a fast run on a Friday afternoon in late June!! EVERYONE going to the cape for the weekend.
