The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Went to close the pop door tonight, and sure enough, skunkie was in there again. Just walking around checking things out... 2 bantams were on the floor under the nest boxes, and even they didn't seem even slightly worried. I now that it's getting in under the gate to the run. Just a matter of time to try to find a way to fix it.
Is it weird that this skunk was giving off no odour whatsoever?

Here are a few of my new quail chicks that finally finished hatching today. The two wild (dark) ones are completely nutty and freak out if I even speak to them! I had to help one baby hatch today because, despite 85-87% humidity, it took far longer than it should at the pip stage, so started to majorly dry out. It was pipped when I checked on them yesterday morning, and it was still doing nothing this morning. I chipped off a bit of shell but there were still active veins, so I waited until this afternoon before helping some more as his membrane was getting pretty tough and tight.

He's the little one smooshed in the middle of the snuggle:

There are three pale yellow chicks as well which will be ivory coloured when they grow up.
:love I heard coconut oil helps those dry membranes.

Good Afternoon Friends

Thanks again for the well wishes regarding my employment situation :hugs

Now the realisation has hit me that I can’t do this anymore, I so much do not want to do it; even moreso than before the realisation ;)

It is taking all my resolve to not just walk out! Anyways, just popped in to say hello in case you think I have dropped off the planet and now back to what has been an exhausting day :caf
:hugs
Blooie, I notice every fly fart as well. I can't wear ear plugs because then I can hear my heart loudly and am afraid I'll hear it stop. Guess I need a bell.
:gig

Morning all :frow

@Teila dig deep and hang on until something better comes along (and it will). :hugs

Still no word from the company on an account being set up with a food supplier so the restaurant opening is in limbo. Such a stupid situation to be in. I'm frustrated with the whole thing.

Good news is, no super cold weather or snow predicted for today!
