Mini rant here. Went to the cardiologist today for BP readings in my legs. Why that couldn't be done yesterday along with the echocardiogram is beyond me. Technician asks me, "Do you have stents in your legs ? Do you have leg pain ? Have you had a heart attack, stroke, etc?" No, no, no, and no. "Well then why are you here ?" Umm, "because you all told me to have this test."
I gave them two weeks worth of BP readings that I had taken - a low of 112/66 and a high of 133/77. BP in the office was 148/84 - umm, I'm not a fan of doctors. Tech took that reading along with my record to the nurse practitioner who said double his BP medicine. I don't think so. Told the tech, "I'm not doing that without talking to her." Nurse practitioner came to the cubicle and said, "Oh I didn't look at the readings you had taken. You don't need to increase your medication." I'm paying for that stupidity ? Okay, I'm happy now. :lau
