Hello, we have a baby chick with a red and infected looking beak. Any ideas on what to do? These chicks were hatched on Halloween and are being taken care of by the hen that hatched them. Thanks!

Apply antibiotic ointment but MAKE SURE not to get it in her nose. You may also want to use a cotton swab to apply saline to flush out the infection but, once again, don't get it in her nose. I hope this helps!

Do you have any examples of the type of antibiotic that I should be using on her?

Hydrocortisone cream maybe.
