These ladies are chic. I am rasing 4 Easter Eggers. They are good egg layers.

Stripes and Monique. Stripes is the one with more black on her head.

Twinkle The friendliest of them all. She loves to be held and petted.

and Dot. She's a chicken chicken.
So is Stripes for that matter. Both are a little flighty and run off for no reason. All were socialized as chicks. We had them inside for awhile and they were all held, petted, played with, and cuddled. They just aren't the cuddling type I guess.
Monique is the one who has more mood swings than a woman who just gave birth. She can be friendly, ready to peck you, or running off to hide all within a few seconds.
Twinkle is the smartest one. She figured out quick that we will catch grasshoppers and crickets for her and drop them in the run. She eats them. The others stare at us like we're dumb while Twinkle eats. Stripes has kinda caught on and knows something is being dropped, but misses them. Twinkle is also the only one who eats mealworms. The others turn their beaks up.

I will continue posting updates on them and more pictures when I have time. Thanks for reading.

Nice chickens.. Curious.. How old are they currently. ?? Are they laying already ?? If they are laying, are their eggs different colors. ?? I had at one time 3 , and each one laid different color.
WISHING YOU BEST

Poor girls are not wanting to eat in the cold. Going to add more bedding and a little more insulation. I have plastic shower curtains over the runs to keep in some heat. Going to see the threads for keeping chickens warm for other ideas. Already saw a post about them eating less in the cold and giving them mealworms and beatles etc. Trying that too.

I bought cracked corn, but their runs were just open. I covered them with plastics shower curtains. No, I'm not putting a heater in with them. I've read that's bad for them bc if the electricity goes out they're screwed. But I'm trying to keep drafts out. Hence the shower curtains.
Feeding the hens some corn will let them turn the  carbohydrates into body heat.    Pigeon winter feed includes corn..  Summer feed  usually does not.

I agree w/ the PP about giving them corn in the winter. I can't give mine corn in the summer b/c it compromises their ability to tolerate the heat.

Chickens are far more adept at tolerating cold than they are heat. There are very few breeds who can't handle the cold; there are a lot of breeds who can't handle the heat (or won't lay b/c of the stress the heat puts on their bodies, during the winter they don't lay b/c they're not getting enough light; breeds that don't lay in the summer below a certain latitude are too stressed from the heat).
