Hi,

I have 4 8 week old chicks. 3 Wheaten pekins and 1 porcelain silkie feathered x (this is the one I'm having most trouble sexing) I am pretty certain I have 2 hens (both wheaten pekins) and 1 rooster (Wheaten pekin) but the other not so sure, thinking maybe a roo? What do you think this one is and the others? Thank you smile smile.png

Chicken 1 - not sure on sex

Chicken 2&3 - think they are pullets, look v alike, both have small pale combs still

Chicken 4- certain rooster

This was him at 6 weeks

:welcome  I agree with you and think that 1 is a cockerel, 2 and 3 are pullets, and 4 is a cockerel.

So do I.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost
