So to be clear, the amount of Safeguard I use is 50mg per kilo, which is 0.5ml per kilo.
The Peacock I treated was around 5 kg,
so he got 2.5ml orally for 5 days. That dose will have
treated all worms.

Funny, I thought I would be the last to go kicking and screaming into the metric world. Now it seems odd when I see dosing that isn't in metric.


I was the same way 4 years ago, and it's taken some getting used to, but now I "see" everything in grams and kg. For example, little chick at my feet right now I see 35-40 grams. :D

I have never had issues with the metric system and embraced in long ago for it's simplicity in everything except carpentry and other building trades in the US...

Something I find funny is that I design electronics for a living, and lingering Industry standard for PC board design is to still use mils (1/1000th of an inch) for some measurements and metric for other measurements on the same board keeps you on your feet sometimes but ironically using both measuring systems on the same item for different things becomes natural after a while..

There is some really good autorouting software out there now if you can justify the cost, doesn't exactly make pretty looking boards and does some utterly stupid routes sometimes but it sure saves a lot of time if routing layout is not crucial to the design... I usually let the software route most of my boards then spend many hours cleaning it up and making it better, it's still a time saver even with the clean up time...

I started off in the 90's with Protel and the Cadence router, but now we have Altium.
