This seems like the weirdest, dumbest question ever asked!! And it had to be mine.lol.
I have a rose comb mix chick I hatched on September 25,along with 6 others(so about 6/7 weeks) and I just know in my heart she's a he :( I was holding out hope until Copper attempting crowing, which by the way if you've never heard that before(started around 5 weeks) it's the most wonderfully heart melting sound to hear!!

My question is this...do pullets ever crow? Maybe out of confusion if she's the leader of the pack and hears my rooster in the big kid coop crowing thru out the days? And...the other 6 have not even attempted a crow, does that mean pullets? Or just not the boss? Thanks ;)

I seem to recall reading here that some hens do crow. As for the other potential your other roos not crowing yet - some don't get round to it until around 6 months and it may not yet be an issue of dominance thats preventing the others from crowing (yet, at least).

Keep your eye on your young males - i had two 3.5 month olds that had one heck of a fight - blood, swellings etc. Not a pretty site (both were kicked out of the flock immediately at both were eaten

I know in my heart copper is a cockerel :( but he at least won me over enough to never get eaten or given away

I truly hoped for s "love my brother/sister" batch...seeing as I hatched em and raising them, they better not fight like that!! That would be awful :(
