I got three from last batch - super hard to sex for a looooooong time, and we'll see what I get from this batch.
All the Valentine's babies are thriving though, so I should have a few more layers toward the end of the year - unless they are all cockerels.
That's still a bummer... especially with the roo issues you've had...
Fertility seems to either be great or awful all around... just had a discussion yesterday with someone in my area getting a crapload of infertiles from a supposedly reputable breeder...

My first 20 chicks are from FFH and I had one just for. I went to TS and they made me buy 6 chicks or none. 2 died within an hour of getting them home. Not to mention even for Bantam chicks these things are TINY! Like the side of a fifty cent piece. Is that normal? Fyi new the chickens so thanks in advance.
Meyer... that's TSC's main supplier... have a friend who works for TSC, lol...
And yes, bantam chicks are super teeny tiny... but dying that quick isn't good...
Also, most feed store employees do not really know how to care for chicks properly... ever since our TSC's employee changeover, there's been many more expired when we go in...
