The Comb is definitely a negative, the Barr Rock got a touch of frost bite over winter.
How old are your JG's? I had a couple but got rid of them, not my cup o' tea... takes them 18 months to fully mature...
They are 3 weeks, very small. I know, and 18 months is way to long, my plan is to keep one for a rooster and process the rest as needed (even if not fully grown.) I went with JG mostly because they were one of the more recommended breeds for rooster. Also I am very curious about the taste. I figure I will cook them like Grandma taught me, brine, flour, cook for a couple hours low heat, and see what my family thinks.
