Sounds like Bubs...

Sweet. I won't stress about it in my hens then.

If you see them turn to the corner, hunch their shoulders and ruffle their feathers, start treatment right away. An occasional foamy mustard poop is expected, but if the floor starts getting yellow-green with a foul odor, start treatment right away.

With a couple hundred birds, it's no cheap matter to medicate, so I do only when medically necessary. Young turkeys do succumb more readily so they get treated when they show the hunched shoulders and ruffled feathers. My old turkeys have never been affected.

My Hawk EE with the sour crop is getting bad again. Bummer, I might let nature run its course. Every time I throw in a tiny handful of scratch grain .....wonder if its bad..

What, if the grain is bad? Smell it. My nose tells me what shouldn't be eaten, and turkeys are also more discriminating. Chickens seem to eat anything.
