Years ago the wife and I bred Jack Russells. When we moved from the hills into town, our female hitched a ride with someone and never came back.
Our male (Moose) got hit by a car.

We decided to give it a go again now that we're retired and living back in the hills again.
We found a dead ringer for Moose. My wife is currently on her way to CA to pick him up.

The new Jack.

How cool!

My mom had a JRT when she was a snowbird. Her hobby was trail riding her horse, and they lived in the motorhome for a few years. He was perfect, a smallish dog who didn't take up much space in the motorhome, but boy could he trot down the trail with her all blessed day long!

She almost made it there.
We have a 1997 explorer with over 170,000 miles on it. We've done very little to it, and it hasn't asked for much either. We change the oil on a regular basis.
I think we're on our 4th set of tires.

Last night just miles from her destination, a front axle (CVJ) threw up its hands and quit.
This dog is getting expensive.

Congrats on the new dog BBQJoe! Sorry your wife's car is giving her trouble, that's the worst when it happens away from home. I don't have a hair pulling out smiley but do have this:
