I came across someone on here who used solar lights to extend the amount of light the chickens received. The best part was the light faded gradually and mimicked dusk which gave the girls time to settle in. I thought it was a very cool idea.

My chicks are doing good, only got 4 quail from the hatch though and no ducks. I have had about 0% fertility on duck eggs at the moment. Although, I did just collect a double yoke duck egg today.
