You are a marine biologist who's going to go live in the ocean for a year, since now they have the technology to allow you to do so. Many other people are coming, too, and that's no problem because the submarine you are provided with is huge. The reason why you want to live in the ocean for a year is because you want to see what creature has been eating many humans for years.
Many say the creature is a shark, but that couldn't be true. So many killed in one year, all by a shark? No, you don't believe it. It has to be something fast, powerful yet not frightening so it can easily reel in it's prey, maybe even something mythical!
It can't be a puffer fish, some of the worlds best marine biologists have been killed by this creature, and eaten. You suggest to yourself that it could be a huge fish, like the monster sized catfish they've been talking about. If an angler fish was very large, it could easily kill and swallow humans whole.
Suddenly you jump a little, a woman clapped her hands to get you to listen, because it was obvious that you were deep in thought. "You have 2 hours," she says, "you better get your suit on and ask all of the questions you can think of right now." She then walks away to tell other marine biologists participating in this activity.
You have nothing to lose, so you get up and put on your suit with no second thoughts. You don't have a partner or any children, neither does anyone else. Well, you don't think so. What kind of family would let you go into the ocean for a YEAR? I mean, this is dangerous.
You stop distracting yourself and hurry to the group of biologists who are chatting nervously so you can get to know these people, since you'll be stuck with them for a year.
You kinda blank out as you hear the sloshing of water beneath the dock. What monstrous, man-eating creature is hiding under the dark depths of the sea right now?
