Young roo is mating pullets that haven't started laying yet

Thanks everyone for the info on behavior. I put him in a dog crate by himself in the coop the next day with food and water of course. When I went out roosting time at the end of the day I let him out after everyone else was on the roost. He flew up on the roost and worked his way in right next to the older rooster. Totally unexpected. Next day he was settled down quite a bit. Yesterday I saw him mating appropriate aged hens and he was fairly graceful. I even saw him dance a little for one of them. Just to answer a couple questions I saw: Why am I keeping two roos? The reason is that my flock is mostly free range and I want them to help protect from predators. The size of my flock fluctuates between 18 to 30 or so hens. Also this guy was hatched here on my farm with another rooster (Neighbor has him) and 4 sisters. They are the result of an accidental cross between a Hedemora and a Dominique and while he has a cuckoo pattern like his mom he appears to have inherited the downy feathers of his father, he Hedemora (who was carried off by a predator). I live in Wisconsin and I am hoping that will add to his cold hardiness.
