By the sound of it - perhaps crickets...

Okay, now being serious; we have one White Chinese gander (Papa Goose) and he runs the entire yard.  He's probably the youngest, but he's the most vocal and curious (I'd never call him agressive but I'm sure someone would).  And we have one Pomeranian - I'm still at a loss of whether we have another gander or not.  So only time will tell.  For now, we call her Momma Goose and she's the most standoff'ish.  Not as vocal as Papa Goose and never friendly enough to get close to pet or even touch.  Initially, she ran things and then once Papa got as big as her, she conceded the throne.  We have six Muscovies who are all subjects in their kingdom.  I think on here (BYC) there was a great article written on Pilgrim geese and why they make the best choice for raising.  You might try a search and give it a look-see so it might help influence your decision.  I'm glad to answer any specific questions about ours and @Miss Lydia is a much better source in my opinion.  Either way, go with a pair and enjoy all the great things which come about being the care and steward of a wonderful animal.

I think the best starting breeds are Toulouse and Buff, they're the most calm and friendliest, not as big as Embden, and in my experience Embden are a bit more territorial and aggressive. Chinese and African are BIG and LOUD, so forget them if you live in the suburbs or have close neighbors. Pomeranian can be hard to get along with. They are not "easy" breeds
