Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I don't really know the answers to your questions, not being from anywhere near Mableton, GA, but you might try posting on some of the threads of our Mableton members at https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=mableton,+georgia. You can also contact your city hall. Someone there should be able to answer your questions regarding the legality of roosters in your area. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Hello and Welcome to BYC!

You could ask around in the BUY~SELL~TRADE forum for hens for sale. You could also but from a hatchery or from someone local in your area. Be sure to check the laws in your area before getting any poultry though. Why would you like a rooster? If you just what hens for eggs then I wouldn't get a rooster unless you plan on hatching your own eggs. What state do you live in? Trade

It's nice to have you here!

Did you ever find out about the roosters? I'm also in Mableton and just planning my flock. Planning only females, but keep wondering if we'll have to eat a rooster, should one be in the mix, or keep it for breeding, should we get so bold.
