What colour would you say this is?

Hi everyone, first time chicken owner. I would greatly appreciate help on figuring out the colour of my roo Carlos. The breeder sold him as splash.

That looks more like a silver partridge type coloring. Blue/Black/Splash is a gene that only affects black coloring. If a bird has black feathers, there is no dilute gene present. If the bird has dark or medium grey feathering, then it has one copy of the blue dilute gene. If a bird has light grey feathering, it is a splash.

I'd like to add notice the cuckoo pattern appearing at the hind quarters to top tail of the roo.  There are Cuckoo Silkies so it may be a mix of Cuckoo Silkie with i.e. Blue Silkie; Cuckoo with Black; Cuckoo with Splash.  It's a bit hard to know for sure due to the coloration but one thing is for sure -- you have an extra special Silkie right there with an unusual pattern.
