Hey all. What do you think. 25 week old BO. No eggs yet. Could we have a rooster on our hands?

Is she squatting if you touch her back ? - that is a breeding posture and usually means they will lay soon - try putting a golf ball in the nest boxes, gives hens the idea where eggs should go.

Pullet.

What is that on her comb and face? If she's been ill, that would easily explain the delay in laying. Sick animals aren't in a good place to reproduce.

She has been sick. She currently has what appears to be avian pox. She's behaving completely normally which is encouraging. She also has been diagnosed with Marek's. I don't have high hopes for eggs from her.

I was asking about gender because someone in another thread regarding her pox diagnosis said "maybe HE had been getting picked on" It made me question her gender.
