Silkie hen still has "tubes" on her head feathers

I'm new to raising backyard chickens specifically Silkies. My Silkie hen is 5 months old and still has quill feathers on her head. When will those go away? I know not to touch them but just thought they should be gone about now. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process or just let them be? :)

HI! I don't know anything about silkies, but why can't you help them off? I have a Sicilian Butercup that always has trouble shedding her pins, I have always just kind of "scratched" them off. Don't know what else to say...
