I have a crested pigeon breed and a normal homing pigeon.

I like the colour of the homing pigeon and want cross it with the crested one to get a crested pigeon with the colours of the homing pigeon.

How can I do this to make more crested birds?

Thanks.

I am by no means an expert but from what I have read across the net and from some personal expieriance I would say that your best bet would be just cross a crested pigeon with a homing pigeon coloured bird and then mate any homing pigeon coloured birds back to the crested bird until you get a crested homing pigeon coulerd bird.

Disclaimer: this post is worth exactly what you piad for it.

I've done some research on this, and here's how it is: two parents with crests= all babies have crests. One parent with crest and one without= no babies with crests. One parent with crest, one parent who's PARENTS were crested= some crested babies, some non crested.

Here's an awesome article they goes into a lot more depth!
