If you count her eggs their eggs there should be 23 of them ..



Over a 5 day period 21 hatch




Yes they all lived ..

LOL, it's like she's running a chick day care center! Cute pictures, thanks for sharing them.
 
Wow, that is so cool! I wish we had all those babies! Ours tried to stop laying on the rest of the eggs so we put the six chicks in a warm box and candled the eggs. 6 were not fertilized and five were full and chirping! So we left the 5 and hope to reunite the others with her in a day or so when all are hatched.
 
Ok, here is an update. 9 chicks hatched and survived from the 16 eggs. We put the mom and chicks into 2 large boxes in our garage basement. They did well. The mom finally hopped out of the box and I put her outside to roam for a while. Sadly she got into the backyard of our neighbor and the dogs killed her. We are so sad. But the chicks are growing and feathering out and we are wondering if it is safe to put them out into the coop? Our nights have been getting down into the teens at times and the days are generally in the 50's or lower. It is just now winter and I am concerned that the weather will be getting even cooler and may be too much for them. How do we know when the time is right? We moved them upstairs into the garage and the box still has a lamp in it. Their temp seems to get down to 50 when it is really cold outside. So they are adjusting bit by bit.
