White African Geese

Thanks and best of luck to you, too. We will have to have a hatch-along so we can share with our efforts to increase our respective white African flocks. My girls will start laying in late February, so only three months to go!

J they are all beautiful ,Do you ever have ganders fighting? last year My 2 ganders did great last breeding season and they are best buds now I sure hope it stays that way. I def have 2 pairs but Sammy being the oldest still thinks both females are his.

Thanks. I think they are pretty wonderful. I do have occasional issues with fighting during breeding season only, mostly between my original pair of ganders. Ironically those two are inseparable. I also have ganders who are best friends with each year round. Generally speaking, while it may seem terrible to witness a gander fight, I've yet to see any gander cause serious injury to another, but that may be because they all have plenty of space on my property to provide distance between subgroups. Hope your boys will be able to sort out pecking order during next season without stressing you out too much.

Me too. The only thing I saw this last breeding season was some pushing in the pool . They are such a close knit group I am hoping it will stay that way.
